Who are Scaletek?   

Scaletek, hereafter to be referred to as ‘Scaletek’, gathers and processes your personal information in accordance with this privacy notice and in compliance with the relevant data protection regulation and law. This notice provides you with the necessary information regarding your rights and obligations, and explains how, why, and when we collect and process your personal data. 

Scaletek’s registered office is at Henleaze Business Centre, Harbury Road, Bristol, BS9 4PN and we are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15399527 and act as a Data Controller. What personal data do we collect?   

Scaletek processes your personal information to meet our legal, statutory, and contractual obligations and to provide you with our services. We will never collect any unnecessary personal data from you and do not process your information in any way, other than what’s specified in this policy. 

Data we may collect includes the following:

• Job history (including information relating to placements through us) 
• Educational history, qualifications & skills 
• Visa and other right to work or identity information

• Personal information relating to hobbies, interests, and pastimes 
• Links to social media accounts or professional profiles available in the public domain

We collect data in the following ways:

• Online job application (third party)
• Submitted CV data in email, post or electronic submissions 
• Public online websites 
• Social profile, such as LinkedIn

How do we use your personal data?   

Scaletek takes privacy seriously and we will never disclose, share or sell your data without your consent, unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long is necessary and for the purposes  specified in this policy. Where you have consented to use providing you with marketing or promotional offers, you are free to withdraw consent at any time. 

What is the purpose for collecting your personal data?   

• To facilitate the recruitment process, by matching your details to job opportunities.
• To allow details of your skills and experience to be viewed by our clients, whom we feel may be interested in engaging your services. Please be assured that your personal data will only be provided to our clients if you have given us permission to do so. 
• To keep you informed of any job opportunities we think may be of interest to you.
• To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into  between you and us. As a result, your information will be accessible to and processed by our recruitment consultants. 
• To preserve our business relationship with you as a user of our website and/or candidate portal. 
• To keep you informed of the products and services (relevant to your sector and professional interests) offered by us via relevant marketing  communications. This could include information regarding new and retained opportunities that may not be advertised on the company website. 
• To notify you about any changes to our services. 

What are your rights?   

You have the right to access any personal information that Scaletek processes about you and to request information about: 

• What personal data we hold about you
• The categories of personal data concerned 
• The recipients to whom the personal data has/will be disclosed 
• How long we intend to store your personal data for 
• If we did not collect the data directly from you, information about the source 

If you believe that we hold any incomplete or inaccurate data about you, you have the right to ask us to correct and/or complete the information and we will strive to update/correct it as quickly as possible; unless there is a valid reason for not doing so, at which point you will be notified. 

You also have the right to request erasure of your personal data or to restrict processing in accordance with data protection laws, as well as to object to any direct marketing from us and to be informed about any automated decision-making that we use. 

If we receive a request from you to exercise any of the above rights, we may ask you to verify your identity before acting on the relevant  request; this is to ensure that your data is protected and kept secure.

Don't want to provide your data?

You are not obligated to provide your personal data to us, however, as  this information is required in order for us to provide you with our  services and legitimate interests in the recruitment process, we will  not be able to offer our products or services without it.  

Retention of your personal data

Scaletek will only ever retain personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. We are required under UK law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact  details) for a minimum period of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. 

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to revise or supplement this Privacy Policy from time to time. 

If we change our privacy policy in the future, we will advise you of changes or updates to our privacy policy by a prominent notice on our website. You should also bookmark and periodically review this page to ensure that you are familiar with the most current version of this  Privacy Policy and so you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose  it. 

By submitting your personal data, you consent to us using your personal information for the purposes described above. We may from time  to time also seek your consent to collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for other purposes not listed above.
